The Journey to Achieving Your Dreams

In the book The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho writes: “Before the dream is realized, the Soul of the World tests everything that was learned along the way. It does this not because it is evil, but so that we can, in addition to realizing our dreams, master the lessons we’ve learned as we’ve moved toward that dream.”
What I find empowering about fully embracing this passage from The Alchemist is that it helps us to recognize that perceived opposition is really God’s love supporting us on the journey to accomplishing our dreams. So when it feels hard, keep moving forward. When you want to settle for less than God’s best for you, keep striving beyond what you can see. When everyone around you doubts that your calling is real, keep reaching for it. When you feel like quitting, don’t. Because if you stay the course, you will achieve your dreams.
